CCC & PEC Description

Clinical Competency Committee (CCC)

The role of the CCC is to monitor and record the progress of trainees in the Department of Dermatology on the Milestones.  Members include full-time Dermatology faculty. The CCC reviews all trainee evaluations semi-annually and prepares and assures the reporting of Milestones evaluations of each trainee semi-annually to the ACGME.  The CCC can also hold ad-hoc meetings as needed. The CCC membership, role and responsibilities can be found in Appendix O.

Program Evaluation Committee (PEC)

The PEC meets on a bi-annual basis (mid-year and year end).  Members include full-time Dermatology faculty, Dermatology residents and fellows.  The outgoing Chief(s) and current Chief(s) are the only residents required to attend the year-end meetings although all residents are invited. The role of the PEC is to perform formal, systematic evaluation of the curriculum and to propose initiatives in an effort to improve the program.  Items discussed at these quarterly meetings include resident research projects, residency program evaluations and proposed improvements, ACGME resident surveys, upcoming conferences and other items of interest.  The PEC membership, role and responsibilities can be found in Appendix O.
