Mistreatment Reporting Process
STEP 1
Visit the OPO’s website at:
https://www.slu.edu/medicine/professional-
oversight/index.php
STEP 2
Select the REPORT button on the main
webpage.
STEP 3
Fill out the reporting form with the relevant
information. The report will then be sent to our
confidential and secure reporting database. All
reports filed are 100% confidential.
STEP 4
A follow-up communication will be sent once the
report is received can be expected in 2-3
business days.

OFFICE OF PROFESSIONAL OVERSIGHT
The Office of Professional Oversight (OPO) welcomes medical students, residents, faculty and staff. The OPO is an office designed to be a central point of contact and support for those experiencing and/or witnessing any type of unprofessional behavior and/or mistreatment in the learning environment. In addition, Lisa Israel serves as the Official GME Ombuds and can assist any trainee with issues related to their experience. The role of the office is to serve as a central repository for all reports of adverse behavior in the learning environment. In addition, the OPO will provide routine status updates to individuals who have filed complaints, generate regular reporting of aggregate data highlighting departments, frequency, trends and possible solutions. The office is a safe and confidential space that supports members of Saint Louis University and its affiliated hospitals and clinics.
